Helen Sobolik
I work as a librarian trainee for the Countee Cullen Branch of the New York Public Library. You can check out the branch on the web, on Facebook, or on Twitter. This is my final semester at Queens College, assuming I finish my 709 project (topic: e-government and public libraries). I love working in the public library, but eventually I'd like to move into academia. I have a second master's degree in Linguistics.
Here are few of my favorite books: Among the Thugs by Bill Buford; Autobiography of Red by Anne Carson; The Secret Agent by Joseph Conrad; and One Hundred Demons by Lynda Barry. I also like to knit and am secretly addicted to competitive cooking shows. I love music of all kinds.

Welcome, Helen, to the class! I would love to work at an academic library, but do not have a second master's degree. Oh, knitting, my past life loves knittiiing (my life in China)... but do not have time in this life now... I am glad you join the class and looking forward to your contribution.
