My name is Natalie, I have been enjoying reading about everyone. This is hopefully my graduating semester at Queens and if everything goes well I'll be finishing this year off with a diploma and a "masterpiece" 709 paper.
I am interested in library science because i think it relates to everything (things, stuff & information) in one way or another. Information is hard to navigate, especially with media being so easy to generate and distribute! I hope to learn a lot in this class about how libraries can use web 2.0 to further help patrons.
I am making my boyfriend watch every Sex and the City episode from seasons 4-6. My favorite character is Robert the Dr for the NY Knicks, even though he's only on for a few episodes. My favorite books are non fiction so I am happy that we'll be reading some for this class. I am always 3 months behind everyone else on popular music but I think I will be better about it after I graduate. Currently, I do marketing and reception for a architecture firm in Manhattan and I'm learning a lot of things that will be useful in a library. There's also a nice archive at the firm and I have been dabbling with archive work.
Good luck to everyone this semester and I hope to learn more about you all. Below is a photo of me at a rooftop party this summer, it was taken with the polaroid iphone app, i love summer and i'm sad to see it go.

Hi, Natalie,
Welcome to the class! You are so right about "library science relates to everything". I really like your blog design - it is so unique, but I still have some questions for tumblr. When we get to blog on the 21st, would you show us Tumblr if we have time?

Hi, Natalie,
Just received a copy of Library Manifesto Issue 2 in my email box (qc email system's delay) and read your Love Letter to Queens College GSLIS. Very well written and I would like to share it with our class. May I?

Hi Rowena,
I would be happy to share what I know about tumblr, I'm sure other classmates will have a lot to say about it as well. Thank you for reading the newsletter! It would be great to share with class.
