Please fill in the following information by October 5, 8am (4 points).

Your Facebook page name:  QC LIS 747 class page (test)

What is your entity (who do you represent)?  We represent the class 747 as a whole, but we are writing in our own voices (I suppose, it is tricky because technically Professor Li should represent the class, but I guess we are). -- i also think that since this class doesn't fit the traditional mold, its sort of an "open source" idea where the role of student and teacher are exploring new ways.  in a way we all represent the class as a collective of ideas which are constantly changing. the use of facebook as a social networking tool we are studying can show that aspect and be a means of advertising the class and connecting the class amongst students that this wiki cannot.

Your Facebook group page link (Please also enter the link on this list): http://www.facebook.com/pages/QC-LIS-747-class-page-test/100261520041488?

Provide three Facebook page examples of the same type:

Who is your audience?  The class itself, though Facebook can be used for any audience. also potential students and people interested in this class.

Where will you get resource from?  Our material will come from the class and readings, as well as anything anyone wants to post.

I would like to see you fill in the questions above first. Then some discussions, too.

I think our test page is working fine. We can start posting some stuff soon. I gotta admit, though, I'm having a hard time finding other pages on Facebook that are devoted to any particular course, let alone a library science course. I'll keep looking, though

i think another good audience could be for potential students in our program who want to take this course. since you must be a member of our class in order to view this page, the facebook site can appeal to students who are interested.

these links are ways others have used facebook in the classroom- while not all of it is in line with what we are doing, it shows how facebook can be utilized with some creativity
